Optimization of foundation solution by full-scale experimental soil-slab interaction

Article considers the case of optimizing design solution for foundation a 10-storey residential building on sandy soils. Optimization was achieved through experimental work with 2*2*0,2 m reinforced concrete slabs and 5000 cm2 stamps. During testing slab settlements, in reinforcement, as well contact pressure under were measured. stamps displacements stamp surrounding soil measured at 21 points. As result tests deflection mode, slab-soil stresses, changes radius curvature, relative deformation reinforcement upper lower parts during loading obtained. Results data made it possible to select model, which later used design. Recommendations are given determining characteristics, modeling soil-plate interaction, economic efficiency solution.
